Summary
Illinois Healthcare and Family Services has established a process for Long Term Care providers to recover admission transactions that were rejected between March 2016 and October 2018 without proper notification. Providers must submit a list of rejected Transaction Audit Numbers (TANs) by June 30, 2019 to receive rejection letters and have an opportunity for recourse.
Action Required
By June 30, 2019: Long Term Care billing teams must compile and submit a list of all rejected admission Transaction Audit Numbers (TANs) from March 2016 through October 2018 using the HFS template via the designated Sharepoint site. Include all required data fields for each TAN including provider ID, admission/discharge dates, patient information, and Medicaid coverage request dates.
