Summary
Starting November 1, 2019, Family Support Program Residential Treatment Providers (Type 100) can now bill immediately for all services without holding claims beyond the sixth 30-day period. Previously, providers had to wait until patient discharge to submit claims after the sixth billing period.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team must update workflows to submit all FSP Residential Treatment claims without delay from admission to discharge. Stop holding claims beyond the sixth 30-day period. For services between July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019: Submit delayed claims by April 26, 2020 to receive timely filing extension.
