Summary
Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services is implementing a new approval process for Primary Agency Security Administrators (ASA) who manage access to the ABE Partner Portal used by medical providers. Organizations must designate at least one employee as Primary ASA to manage portal access and maintain user records.
Action Required
If your organization needs a new Primary ASA: 1) Create account at ABE.Illinois.gov using Medicaid Provider ID, 2) Register as security administrator and submit request via ABE ASA Request SharePoint site, 3) Wait for HFS approval before granting portal access to other users, 4) Maintain Form 1706P and photo ID copies for all users, 5) Verify user identities with valid picture ID. Current Primary ASAs do not need to register.
