Illinois hospitals will now receive Directed Payments directly from MCOs starting with March payments, instead of through the state. Hospitals must submit a Hospital Assessment Payment Form and current W-9 to ensure proper payment processing.
Action Required
As soon as possible: Hospital billing teams must submit the Hospital Assessment Payment Form and current W-9 to HFS.Hospitals@Illinois.gov or directly to each MCO. This ensures Directed Payments from MCOs are received timely and properly identified starting in March.
