Summary
Illinois HFS is implementing a new Provider Resolution Portal effective February 28, 2020 for submitting unresolved disputes with Medicaid MCOs. Providers must first use the MCO's internal dispute process, then submit to HFS within 30-60 days using the new portal with required MCO tracking numbers.

By February 28, 2020: Billing team must register for accounts on the new HFS Provider Resolution Portal via the HFS Managed Care Provider Resolution Webpage. For any Medicaid MCO disputes, first submit through MCO internal process, obtain MCO tracking number, then submit to HFS portal between 30-60 days after MCO submission. Use standard template for 2+ similar complaints (max 100 per template). Stop using the old portal after February 28, 2020.
