Summary
Illinois implemented a 3.5% rate increase for Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID) and Medically Complex for the Developmentally Disabled Facilities (MC/DD) effective August 1, 2019. The state has systematically repriced previously paid claims and updated their payment system with the new rates.
Action Required
No action required for most billing teams. This policy only affects ICF/IID and MC/DD facilities in Illinois. If your practice provides developmental training services to these facilities, ensure payment adjustments are passed on to appropriate developmental training agencies within 10 days per 89 Ill. Adm. Code 140.646(d).
