Summary
Illinois is accepting applications until May 1, 2020 for new Safety Training Certification Programs for non-emergency Medical and Service Car transportation providers. All drivers and employee attendants must complete approved safety training every three years as required by state law.
Action Required
Transportation providers only: If your practice provides non-emergency Medical or Service Car transportation services, ensure all drivers and attendants complete Department-approved safety training certification every three years. Contact HFS.Transportation@illinois.gov for certification program applications (deadline was May 1, 2020). This does not affect standard medical billing operations.
