Summary
Illinois Medicaid is implementing a temporary 20% rate increase for ICF/IID and MC/DD facilities from March 17, 2020 through April 15, 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic expenses. Facilities must continue billing day services with zero units when programs are closed, and payments will still be processed at scheduled amounts.
Action Required
Immediately: Update billing procedures for ICF/IID and MC/DD facilities to reflect 20% rate increase retroactive to March 17, 2020. For day services billing, enter '0' units for Revenue Code 0942 when day service programs are closed - claims will still be paid at scheduled amounts. Pass day service payments to appropriate agencies within 10 days per administrative rule. Claims paid before rate update will be automatically repriced by the state.
