Illinois HFS implemented a new Provider Resolution Portal effective February 28, 2020 for submitting disputes with Medicaid MCOs. Providers must first use the MCO's internal dispute process, then submit to the portal within 30-60 days with specific tracking numbers and templates.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team must use the new HFS Provider Resolution Portal for all Illinois Medicaid MCO disputes. First submit disputes to MCO internal process and obtain tracking number. Then submit to portal between 30-60 days after MCO submission. Use standard Complaints/Claims-Issue template for 2+ similar complaints. Stop using old portal system as it was suspended.
