Summary
DCFS Youth in Care will transition to a new specialized Medicaid managed care plan called YouthCare starting September 1, 2020. Providers do not need to contract with YouthCare to treat these children - all claims for covered Medicaid services will be paid through an open network period until February 28, 2021.
Action Required
Before September 1, 2020: Billing team must update patient eligibility verification procedures to identify DCFS Youth in Care patients who will be enrolled in YouthCare.
