Summary
Long Term Care (LTC) facilities must now download their Daily Transaction Reports through the MEDI system instead of receiving them by mail. The report tracks resident admissions, discharges, deaths, level of care changes, and income changes, and will be available for download for three months after posting.
Action Required
Immediately: LTC facility billing staff must transition to downloading Daily Transaction Reports through the MEDI system. Login to MEDI, select Internet Electronic Claims (IEC), choose Download File(s), select file label '2449', and save to a designated directory. Open files using Microsoft Word in landscape orientation. Reports will no longer be mailed.
