Summary
Illinois is offering supplemental payments above fee schedule rates to publicly owned ambulance providers whose costs exceed current Medicaid reimbursement. Providers must submit cost reports and new participants need signed Intergovernmental Agreements.
Action Required
By October 1, 2020: Publicly owned ambulance providers in Illinois must submit cost reports (as Excel and PDF with signatures) and signed IGAs (for new participants) to HFS.GEMT@Illinois.gov to participate in 2021 supplemental payment program. This applies only to government-owned ambulance services.
