Summary
Illinois nursing facilities must begin collecting new PDPM data items on MDS 3.0 assessments (version 1.17.2) for OBRA comprehensive and quarterly assessments starting October 1, 2020. These items are for informational comparison purposes only and will not impact current Medicaid reimbursement rates.
Action Required
Before October 1, 2020: Nursing facilities must contact their MDS Software Vendors immediately to ensure software is updated to version 1.17.2 to collect new PDPM data items on OBRA comprehensive (NC) and quarterly (NQ) assessments. Contact Bureau of Long Term Care at 844-528-8444 with questions.
