Summary
Illinois is implementing electronic payment requirements for Ground Emergency Medical Transportation (GEMT) providers participating in Medicaid supplemental payment programs. Providers must register with JetPay system and make required payments by October 31, 2020, with the payment amount being 50% of enhanced payments received above base rates.
Action Required
By October 31, 2020: GEMT providers with Illinois Medicaid IGAs must register in JetPay system at https://epayGEMT.illinois.gov, complete required test transaction, and submit payment equal to 50% of enhanced payments received above base rates. Finance team should coordinate with bank to accept ACH debits from Fifth Third Bank (routing 063103915, origination IDs 1810599849 or 9810599849). Alternative payment by check available by emailing HFS.GEMT@illinois.gov.
