This policy provides guidance for healthcare providers to apply for CARES Act coronavirus relief funding through the Illinois HFS CARES Portal. Round 1 recipients must submit budgets by October 16, 2020, and all eligible providers can apply for Round 2 funding through October 31, 2020.

By October 16, 2020: Round 1 CARES funding recipients must submit completed budget templates to HFS.Cares@illinois.gov. By October 31, 2020: All eligible Medicaid providers should apply for Round 2 CARES funding through the HFS CARES Portal at https://caresapp.hfs.illinois.gov. Use Chrome or Edge browsers for optimal performance.
