Summary
Illinois extended the deadline for providers to enter completed IM+CANS assessments into the IM+CANS Provider Portal. Assessments for services between July 1 and October 30, 2020 can be entered until January 1, 2021, but starting November 1, 2020, all completed IM+CANS must be entered within 10 business days of completion.
Action Required
By November 1, 2020: Providers performing Integrated Assessment and Treatment Planning (IATP) services must enter completed IM+CANS into the IM+CANS Provider Portal within 10 business days of completion. Billing team must establish accounts and complete test environment approval before this date, or use Direct Data Entry process. Failure to comply may result in clinical audits, payment recoupment, and service rejections starting January 1, 2021.
