Summary
Illinois hospitals can now submit inpatient claims containing LARC (long-acting reversible contraceptive) device codes that were previously held since July 1, 2020. System changes have been completed to allow LARC devices to be priced as an add-on amount to APR-DRG payments for inpatient deliveries.
Action Required
Immediately: Illinois hospitals should submit all previously held inpatient claims with discharges beginning July 1, 2020 that contain LARC device codes. Review claim hold queues and resubmit eligible claims. Contact hospital billing consultant at 877-782-5565 with questions.
