Summary
ICF/IID and MC/DD facilities can now bill and retain payments for Day Program services when their contracted Day Program providers are closed or unavailable due to COVID-19, effective retroactively to November 24, 2020. Claims from September-October must be voided and payments will be recouped by the state.
Action Required
Immediately: ICF/IID and MC/DD billing teams must void all Day Program service claims submitted for September and October 2020 when Day Program providers were closed due to COVID-19. For November services, bill with Service From Date no earlier than November 24, 2020. Obtain and file written correspondence from Day Service providers confirming closure/unavailability. Only bill when facility actually provides Day Program services - do not bill for basic supervision or personal care.
