Summary
The Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services has extended the final reporting deadline for CARES Program funds from January 31, 2021 to March 29, 2021. Healthcare providers who received CARES Act funding must submit their final expenditure reports and return any unspent funds by the new deadline.

By March 29, 2021: If your practice received Illinois HFS CARES Program funding, submit final expenditure reports through the HFS CARES Portal. Gather supporting documentation per Treasury guidance page 4. Return any unspent subaward funds to Receipt Accounting at Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services, Bureau of Fiscal Operations, 2200 Churchill Road A-2, Springfield, Illinois 62702. Failure to comply may result in funding clawbacks.
