Summary
Illinois Medicaid now provides a $10 per day add-on payment for single occupancy rooms at Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facilities (SMHRFs). Providers must use Revenue Code 0110 to receive this payment, and the system will automatically reprice previously submitted eligible claims.
Action Required
SMHRF providers must ensure billing system uses Revenue Code 0110 for all single occupancy room claims to receive the $10 per day add-on payment. Verify that rooms are licensed for single occupancy through Illinois Department of Public Health. Do not bill Revenue Code 0110 for leave of absence days or multiple occupancy rooms. Previously submitted claims with dates of service on/after July 1, 2019 using Revenue Code 0110 will be automatically repriced.
