Action Required

Action needed
Immediately: Update billing system to include HCPCS code M0201 for in-home COVID-19 vaccine administration for Illinois Medicaid patients. Train billing staff that M0201 can only be billed when vaccination is the sole purpose of the visit and patient meets qualifying conditions (homebound, disability, transportation barriers). Document patient eligibility conditions as billing M0201 constitutes attestation of meeting requirements. M0201 is billable only once per date of service per home, even if multiple household members are vaccinated.
