Summary
Illinois is offering supplemental payments above standard fee schedule rates for publicly owned ambulance services participating in the Medical Assistance (Medicaid) program. Providers must submit cost reports by October 1, 2021 to participate in the 2022 Ground Emergency Medical Transportation (GEMT) supplemental payment program.
Action Required
By October 1, 2021: Publicly owned ambulance providers in Illinois must submit cost report forms and signed Intergovernmental Agreements (if first-time participants) to HFS.GEMT@illinois.gov to participate in 2022 GEMT supplemental payments. Submit both Excel and PDF versions with signatures.
