Action Required
By October 1, 2021: Billing teams serving children with ASD in Illinois must update systems to recognize expanded ABS services beyond just ABA. Providers must ensure proper enrollment in IMPACT system as Behavioral Health Clinic with ABS specialty, or appropriate BCBA/RBT credentialing. Update treatment planning to include new BATP requirements with 180-day review cycles and proper supervision documentation.
