Summary
Illinois Medicaid extended the reporting deadline for Long Term Care facility admissions from 45 to 120 calendar days, effective January 1, 2022. LTC providers must still report admissions electronically through MEDI or REV systems, but now have more time to submit required documentation.
Action Required
Effective January 1, 2022: Long Term Care facilities in Illinois must update their admission reporting procedures to submit all new admissions within 120 calendar days (extended from 45 days) through MEDI or REV systems. Billing teams should retain Transaction Audit Numbers (TAN) for verification purposes and continue reporting deaths/discharges within 15 days, patient credit changes within 45 days, and TPL changes within 45 days.
