Summary
Illinois Medicaid increased reimbursement rates for ICF/IID and MC/DD facilities effective July 1, 2021 and January 1, 2022. Claims from July 2021 have been systematically repriced and payment adjustments were issued on December 18, 2021, while claims from January 2022 forward automatically price at the new higher rates.
Action Required
Within 10 days of receiving payment adjustments: Facilities must pass on developmental training service payment adjustments to appropriate developmental training agencies as required by 89 Ill. Adm. Code 140.646(d). Download updated provider-specific per diem rates from HFS website or through MEDI portal to verify correct reimbursement amounts.
