Summary
Illinois has extended the 2021 Long Term Care cost report filing deadline by one month due to COVID-19 impacts. LTC facilities now have until April 30, 2022 (instead of March 31, 2022) to submit their cost reports and still be considered timely for rate setting purposes.
Action Required
By April 30, 2022: Long Term Care facilities must submit their 2021 LTC cost reports to HFS.HealthFinance@illinois.gov via email or CD, plus mail a signed paper copy to Bureau of Health Finance in Springfield. Download report files from the HFS Cost Reports webpage. Facilities needing additional extensions beyond April 30 must submit extension requests within three months of their year end.
