Summary
The HRSA COVID-19 Uninsured Program has ended for testing and treatment claims as of March 22, 2022, and will end for vaccination claims on April 5, 2022. The Illinois HFS COVID-19 Uninsured Program continues through the end of the federal public health emergency as an alternative for uninsured patients.
Action Required
Immediately: Stop submitting COVID-19 testing and treatment claims to HRSA COVID-19 Uninsured Program. By April 5, 2022: Stop submitting vaccination claims to HRSA program. Billing team must redirect uninsured COVID-19 claims to Illinois HFS COVID-19 Uninsured Program instead, following guidance from December 18, 2020 and September 25, 2020 provider notices. Update billing workflows to use correct uninsured program for COVID-19 services.
