Summary
Illinois Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) requires existing Application Agents to submit new agreement forms by July 1, 2022, or lose access to the ABE Partner Portal by July 31, 2022. New ABE application screens will require applicants to answer 'Yes' or 'No' for each benefit type starting July 1, 2022.
Action Required
By July 1, 2022: Application Agents must submit new Application Agent Agreement, Business Associate Agreement, and W-9 forms found on the HFS Application Agent Instructions page to HFS.ApplicationAssisters@illinois.gov. Failure to submit will result in loss of ABE Partner Portal access by July 31, 2022. Staff should prepare for new ABE application screens requiring 'Yes/No' answers for each benefit type.
