Summary
Illinois extends payment deadline to July 31, 2022 for Ground Emergency Medical Transportation (GEMT) providers for Q3 and Q4 2021 payments due to Department calculation errors. Affected municipalities will be notified individually and overpayments will be refunded.

For Illinois GEMT providers only: If your organization provides ground emergency medical transportation and received corrected invoices for Q3/Q4 2021, make payments by July 31, 2022 via JetPay at https://epayGEMT.illinois.gov or email HFS.GEMT@illinois.gov to verify check payment amounts. This does not affect typical medical billing operations.
