Summary
Illinois consolidated all children from All Kids Share, Premium Level 1, and Premium Level 2 programs into the All Kids Assist Medicaid program under Title 19, effective July 1, 2022. Over 190,000 children now have enhanced Medicaid coverage with no premiums or co-payments, and Premium Level 2 children are being transitioned to managed care in waves through January 1, 2023.
Action Required
Immediately: Update billing system to recognize all Illinois All Kids children as 'All Kids Assist: Full Coverage' with Title XIX designation in MEDI system. Disregard any remaining SHARE, Premium Level 1, or Premium Level 2 designations with Title XXI as these are system errors being manually corrected by HFS. Verify managed care enrollment for former Premium Level 2 children receiving enrollment packets through January 1, 2023.
