Summary
Illinois increased reimbursement rates for certain community-based behavioral health services effective July 1, 2022, and is now accepting claims for Integrated Assessment and Treatment Planning (IATP) LPHA Review services. Providers can submit replacement claims for previously paid services at old rates if their usual charges would result in higher reimbursement.
Action Required
By April 25, 2023 (180 days from notice): Behavioral health providers must submit any held IATP LPHA Review claims for dates of service July 1, 2022 and after. Review fee schedule for updated rates and submit replacement claims electronically via MEDI or 837P files using Claim Frequency '7' if usual charges would result in higher reimbursement. Contact community mental health center billing consultant at 877-782-5565 (option 1, 2, 4, then 8) for FFS time overrides if needed.
