Summary
Illinois Healthcare and Family Services extended the 2022 Long Term Care cost report filing deadline from March 31, 2023 to May 1, 2023 due to ongoing public health emergency impacts. By May 1, 2023: Long Term Care facilities must complete and submit 2022 cost reports to HFS.HealthFinance@illinois.gov via email or CD, plus mail signed paper copy to Bureau of Health Finance in Springfield. Download cost report files from HFS Cost Reports webpage and ensure compliance with new ownership reporting under Article 5B-5 of Public Aid Code.
