Summary
Illinois is resuming Medicaid administrative claiming for Local Health Departments providing Maternal and Child Health programs including Family Case Management, High Risk Infant Follow-Up, and Better Birth Outcomes. LHDs can now recoup portions of their costs for serving Medicaid clients if costs exceed state grant funding, but must sign a new Intergovernmental Agreement to participate.
Action Required
Local Health Departments only: If your practice is an enrolled LHD wanting to claim administrative costs for MCH programs, download and complete the new Intergovernmental Agreement from the FCM MCH Programs webpage and submit to HFS.BPPC.LHDClaim@illinois.gov. This does not affect private practice billing teams.
