Summary
The Healthy Start/MPE Income Standard amounts have been updated effective February 22, 2023, due to new Federal Poverty Level statistics. Providers must use the revised income guidelines when determining patient eligibility for MPE coverage.
Action Required
Immediately: Update patient eligibility screening processes to use the new income limits - Family size 2: $3,500, size 3: $4,413, size 4: $5,325, size 5: $6,237, size 6: $7,150, size 7: $8,062, size 8: $8,974 (add $912 for each additional person over 8). For providers using the ABE system, guidelines are automatically updated. Front desk staff should verify patient MPE eligibility using these new thresholds.
