Summary
The IM+CANS Health Risk Assessment (HRA) completion is now optional instead of required annually for Illinois Medicaid providers. Providers who choose to continue using the HRA must adopt the updated form by July 1, 2023, but no longer need to upload it to the Provider Portal.
Action Required
By July 1, 2023: Providers billing for IATP services who choose to continue completing the HRA must download and implement the updated HRA form from the HFS website. Billing team should note that HRA completion is now optional and Portal upload requirement is suspended. Update internal procedures to reflect optional status of HRA for Medicaid patients.
