Summary
Illinois launched the HFS Family Planning Program providing limited Medicaid coverage for reproductive health services to eligible residents regardless of age or gender. Current MPE providers must complete new agreements by October 1, 2023, and all providers wanting to participate need certification and training.
Action Required
By October 1, 2023: Current MPE providers must submit revised Presumptive Eligibility Provider Agreement to HFS.MPE.FPproviders@illinois.gov that incorporates FPPE language. Complete required HFS training on new program. New providers wanting to participate must submit agreement before using ABE Provider Portal function. Review HFS Family Planning Program fee schedule for covered services and billing requirements.
