Summary
Illinois Medicaid is restarting collection of advance payments made to long-term care facilities during 2019 financial hardships. Providers with outstanding balances must resume monthly payments starting October 15, 2023, and must sign and submit Amendment 3 by August 15, 2023.
Action Required
By August 15, 2023: Long-term care facilities with outstanding 2019 advance payment balances must download Amendment 3 from their LTC Exchange site folder, sign it, and upload for HFS signature. Starting October 15, 2023: Resume monthly payments on the 15th of each month in the amount specified in the original Advance Payment Plan Agreement until fully repaid.
