Summary
Illinois Healthcare and Family Services has extended the 2023 Long Term Care (LTC) cost report filing deadline by one month to April 30, 2024, instead of March 31, 2024. This extension applies to nursing facilities, ICF/IID, supportive living programs, MC/DD facilities, and SMHRF providers to accommodate post-pandemic delays and new ownership reporting requirements.
Action Required
By April 30, 2024: Long term care facilities must submit their 2023 LTC cost reports to HFS.HealthFinance@illinois.gov or via CD to Bureau of Health Finance in Springfield. Include completed ownership reporting with middle initials for all owners as required under Article 5B-5 of the Public Aid Code. Submit both electronic file and signed paper copy to maintain timely filing status for rate setting purposes.
