Summary
Illinois Medicaid has completed system programming to process previously held fee-for-service claims for Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors (LCPC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) services dating back to December 1, 2021. Providers have 180 days from May 21, 2024 to resubmit old claims with timely filing overrides.
Action Required
By November 17, 2024: Billing team should review and resubmit any denied LCPC or LMFT claims with dates of service from December 1, 2021 forward. Contact Bureau of Professional and Ancillary Services at 877-782-5565 for timely filing overrides. Previously held claims have been automatically released for processing.
