Summary

Claims falling outside timely filing limits due to programming delays will receive overrides with proper documentation.

Immediately: Billing team must update systems to include Place of Service Code 27 for services provided to unhoused individuals in street/outreach locations for Illinois Medicaid claims. For any claims with dates of service from October 1, 2023 that exceed timely filing limits, attach completed 1624 Override Request Form when submitting.
