Summary
Illinois has published a MEDI Transportation Billing Guide to help ambulance providers void and rebill claims that were paid at old rates for dates of service beginning January 1, 2024. Providers can now rebill these claims using the updated Ambulance Transportation Fee Schedule to receive higher reimbursement rates.

Ambulance transportation providers only: Review the newly published MEDI Transportation Billing Guide and use the updated Ambulance Transportation Fee Schedule to void and rebill ambulance claims from January 1, 2024 forward that were paid at old rates.
