Summary
A telehealth billing system issue that caused duplicate claim rejections (D01 error) for fee-for-service claims with different telehealth modifiers has been resolved as of November 14, 2024. Providers can now rebill previously rejected telehealth claims dating back to October 1, 2021, and request timely filing overrides as needed.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team should identify and rebill all telehealth fee-for-service claims that were rejected as duplicates (D01 error code) with dates of service from October 1, 2021 forward. Submit electronic claims with HFS 1624 Override Request Form as attachment for timely filing override when needed.
