Summary
The Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services now offers a new option to download X12 835 Electronic Remittance Advice files through their CAQH CORE Web Service Portal. Providers already using the portal for other transactions must re-register to access 835 downloads.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team should contact HFS.EDITradingPartner@illinois.gov to request the CAQH CORE Web Service Trading Partner Application and Agreement if interested in using the new 835 download option. Complete and return documents to the same email address. Note: Existing portal users must re-register even if already using eligibility and claim status transactions.
