Summary
Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services has enabled electronic claim submission for Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) services for fee-for-service Medicaid patients. CCBHCs can now submit claims electronically through MEDI or 837P files for services provided on or after October 1, 2024, with automatic timely filing overrides for 180 days.
Action Required
By August 20, 2025: CCBHCs must submit fee-for-service Medicaid claims electronically through MEDI Provider Invoice option or 837P files using the National Provider ID associated with the CCBHC site.
