Summary
Illinois Medicaid has released an updated version of the Crisis Assessment Tool (IM-CAT) that providers billing for Mobile Crisis Response services must use. All providers must transition to the new version by May 1, 2025, with updates to the Crisis Reporting System expected by the same date.
Action Required
By May 1, 2025: Providers billing for Mobile Crisis Response (MCR) services must transition to using the updated IM-CAT tool available on the HFS IM+CANS webpage. Download and implement the new assessment tool in workflows. Designated Service Area Providers must prepare for Crisis Reporting System updates by the same date.
