Summary
Illinois Supportive Living Program (SLP) providers must report resident discharges within 15 days in the MEDI system. Late reporting causes billing and eligibility issues and may result in Medicaid payment sanctions.
Action Required
Immediately: SLP providers must ensure all resident discharges are reported in the Medical Electronic Data Interchange (MEDI) System within 15 days. Also report resident deaths within 15 days, patient credit changes within 45 days, third party liability changes within 45 days, and admissions within 120 days. Contact MEDI Help Desk at 1-800-366-8768 for assistance. Failure to report timely may result in Medicaid payment sanctions.
