Summary
The Illinois Medicaid claims processing system has been fixed to properly pay compound pharmacy claims, which had been incorrectly paying at zero since the March 2024 Change Healthcare outage. Pharmacy providers are now encouraged to void and rebill previously unpaid compound claims for fee-for-service billing.

Immediately: Pharmacy providers should identify compound claims that were paid at zero or held pending since March 2024. Void and rebill these claims through the fee-for-service system. Contact the Bureau of Professional and Ancillary Services at 877-782-5565 to speak with a pharmacy consultant for any necessary overrides on rejections during rebilling.
