Summary

Effective January 1, 1999, case management services for children diverted/returned from out-of-state residential treatment facilities (SRI), individuals with developmental disabilities, and infants/toddlers programs will now be reimbursed when recipients are enrolled in the Rare and Expensive Case Management (REM) Program. Previously, these services were excluded from payment for REM recipients.

Effective January 1, 1999: Billing team must forward all claims for case management services provided to REM recipients (including SRI, developmental disabilities, and infants/toddlers programs) to the Medicaid Program for reimbursement.
