By October 1, 1999: Nursing facilities must update billing systems to use new procedure codes for behavior management (N0015 for light care, N0025 for moderate care) and therapy services (N0200-N0215 for physical therapy, N0300-N0315 for occupational therapy, N0400-N0415 for speech therapy in 1/4 hour increments). Remove therapy costs from Other Patient Care billing. Update accounts with new interim rates and provide rate letters to accountants/bookkeepers for account setup.
