Summary
Maryland Medicaid updated FY 2001 interim rates for nursing home services, effective July 1, 2000. By July 1, 2000: Billing team must update nursing home billing systems with new Maryland Medicaid interim rates including increased nursing service rates (13-19% regional increases), new therapy service rates for physical therapy ($15.39-$64.62), occupational therapy ($14.61-$61.46), and speech therapy ($14.07-$59.23) based on service duration. Update accountant/bookkeeper systems with new rate structure and 89.7% occupancy standard. Providers with less than 1,000 Medicaid days should use flat rate of $133.74 per day.
